Alien invasion

These ultrasound pictures are from Kristie's 12 week appointment (Dec. 4), and it was also the
first time I was able to tag along. We were able to see and hear the little guy's heartbeat, which was pretty amazing to witness for the first time. It also looks like an actual kid now, which I was beginning to worry about after the lima bean pictures. Anyway, the kid was rolling around quite a bit during the exam, but seemed to straighten up right when the technician was looking to snap its picture. It checked in at just over 3 inches, and its ears have apparantly moved from its neck to its head by now, which sounds like a good thing. Kristie and the baby have been doing great up to this point, and we're hopeful it will continue!

It's alive!

Believe it or not, this is not a picture of a peanut or a lima bean. And while it has a tail... we're pretty sure this is a picture of the baby that Kristie has started to carry. This ultrasound was taken just after 7 weeks (around Halloween), and the doctor said everything looked good at this point. I wasn't able to make this visit, but Kristie was able to see the baby's heartbeat and pick out his head. And we're plaigarizing from Drew and Erin's site here, but according to the Chinese gender prediction chart, it's a boy!
