Moving Day

Here is an updated picture of me at about 27 weeks. This photo was taken around sunrise on the morning of our move from the apartment in Hyde Park. You can see our beautiful lake view in the background, which were going to miss! Our new place is located in Forest Park, a suburb just west of downtown.

Babies first vacation

Here are some pictures of me at about 24 weeks. Since the last posting, there has been some significant growth. As you can see, the "baby bump" is getting bigger and at about 19 weeks my belly button popped out! At this point the baby is over a foot long and weighs about a pound and a half. He has been moving around all the time now, which is fun most of the time but a little uncomfortable at others. If all his kicking is any indication, he is going to grow up to be a little soccer player.

I decided to take a trip down to Florida to visit some friends and to get away from all of the snow that we have been having in Chicago. Amy and I went down to Miami and stayed with Evadnie for 4 days. The first picture is of Amy, me, and Evadnie when we went out to dinner one night. We also took at trip to Naples and met up with Becky, who is expecting her son about 3 weeks ahead of me.

We had some great times and got a lot of sun. Our trip had many, many unexpected adventures including 3 delayed flights, a sprint across airport terminals (and people thinking I was in labor), lost luggage, and a closed down car rental agency. But in the end we were determined to have a good time and the fabulous weather, beaches, and company more than made up for it. I got to put my maternity suit to the test and I think the baby enjoyed the time at the beach, too!
