10 fingers, 10 toes

Kristie went in for her 20-week appointment, where they check the development of all kinds of important stuff like the brain, heart, and bones. The result? Well, everything got a thumbs up from Oscar....



And speaking of Oscar (name still pending approval), our suspicions and the eerily accurate Chinese prediction chart were right - we're having a boy! So without showing the more revealing pictures, here are some images of our new favorite muchacho showing off one of his soccer legs and even striking his Thinker pose. All in all, everything seems to be going pretty well!

18 weeks

This is a picture of me at 18 weeks, or at about the beginning of the forth month. As you can see, my belly is growing quite rapidly at this point. The baby is only about 5 1/2 inches (or about as long as a bell pepper), but is somehow causing all this...Already I am able to feel the baby move everyday, which is really exciting. We plan to have another ultrasound at 20 weeks. At this appointment they will take all kinds of measurements and (hopefully) will be able to tell us the sex - check back later to find out! There was some early "evidence" at 12 weeks that I am carrying a little boy, but in general it is a little too early to know for sure at that point. We are really happy and exicted that everything is going so well thus far! I feel like the time is going by so quickly.
