Baby Shower

Here's a picture of me at my baby shower this weekend with Aunt Kelley and Grandma Carol (Mike's mom). I'm about 34 weeks now and I think this dress definitely makes me look like it and then some! The shower was hosted by Carol's good friends Nancy and Gigi.

We ended up with lots of really great things! I am starting to feel like we have most of the big things that it takes to prepare for a baby. We got many much needed clothes and supplies, along with some big items like the car seat, stroller, and Pack n' Play. Thanks so much to everyone who attended or sent gifts. We are so greatful to have

such wonderful support from all of our friends and

family....we couldn't do it without all of you!

Go Cubs Go

Night at Wrigley



We got to spend another evening at a Chicago sports venue last week. This time we went on a tour of Wrigley Field. Yes, that's us standing on the actual on deck circle that the Cubs use! We also had dinner in the club house, toured the visitors locker room, and other behind the scences places within Wrigley.


We have been to 3 Cubs games already this year and Mike is convinced that the baby is good luck. The Cubs have won by about 10 points for all of the games that we attended. For the Brewer's game, the Cubs ended up scoring 19 runs and we took a picutre of us by the score board to prove it.


I have no doubt that we will raise a Cubs fan. Baby Deak has already accumluated a collection of Cubs outfits to wear during our future outings. I am sure that between Amy and Uncles Terry and Sean that he will be well dressed for the game.
